About Me

Hi, I’m Will Zarillo! I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges—whether that means processing trauma, managing anxiety, working through life transitions, or simply finding more meaning and balance. My approach is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to your needs, no matter your background or what brings you to therapy.
Since 2017, I have worked extensively with survivors of violence and trauma, and I have a deep background in higher education and advocacy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a proud graduate of Rutgers University. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate researching Cycles of Institutional Betrayal: Student Activism Against Sexual Violence at Rutgers, 1970–2000.
In therapy, I integrate a variety of approaches—including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR—but I am most drawn to a narrative worldview, recognizing the power of stories in shaping identity and healing. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to explore, reframe, and rewrite the narratives that guide your life.
Beyond traditional therapy, I’ve developed Scuba Therapy and Adventure Therapy programs, combining experiential learning with therapeutic insights. I also designed and taught an accredited course at Rutgers: Trauma-Informed Approaches for Higher Education Professionals.
Outside of work, I love playing piano, running (I recently completed my first marathon!), experimenting with new recipes, and traveling.
If you’re looking for a therapist who values collaboration, storytelling, and a personalized approach to healing, I’d love to work with you.
